We are Darren and Lynne Bateson, the husband-and-wife team behind ABCDE Driving School. Our name stands for A Better Car Driving Experience, and that starts with making students feel supported.

We each bring more than 20 years of commercial and non-commercial driving experience. We believe safe driving grows from patience, awareness and good decisions, with confidence built through practice.

Personal from the first conversation

We manage the school and teach the lessons ourselves. Students and parents can speak directly with us about progress, confidence and readiness for the next challenge.

A supportive place to learn

Our two dual-control 2027 Kia Seltos vehicles have instructor-side brake and gas pedals. We match the lesson to the student’s current ability and introduce more demanding situations progressively. ABCDE Driving School is fully licensed and insured.

Progress you can see

After every lesson, we complete a structured written assessment and provide a copy to the parent. It explains what went well and what needs more practice.
